Superb! I am deeply grateful for what the Summer Tour has provided for the girls. They will take away wonderful memories, a deeper pride in their heritage, and a greater sense of whom they are. We appreciate the financial help as well for we could never all done this on our own.

Packing Checklist
| Only one suitcase and one carry-on bag for each person is recommended for most efficient travel. | |
Be aware that Chinese airlines charge for extra bags and total luggage over 44 pounds. Some Tour participants may be continuing on for an orphanage visit and may be bringing items to the orphanage; you may wish to ship these ahead to your hotel near the orphanage. |

| All clothing should dry quickly (see travelers catalogs) | |
International flight attire might consist of a long-sleeve top, comfortable slacks, a fleece or sweater, and comfortable shoes. |
Each person needs about two pair of shorts (or a pair of shorts and a casual skirt, if appropriate) plus another pair of long pants. |
Three tops of cloth that breathes easily, wicks moisture away, and dries quickly (not 100% cotton). In the past each participant has been presented with two T-shirts which are requested attire on certain occasions. |
| Four or five days of underwear | |
| Three pairs of socks | |
One pair of comfortable sandals and one pair of comfortable athletic shoes are recommended. Expect to do a lot of walking! |
One or two "banquets" are scheduled during the Tour; "dress casual" works fine: a casual dress or skirt for women although dress slacks are fine. Perhaps a jacket for gentlemen but not absolutely necessary. |
Pack bathing suits and bathing caps! Swimming is an important activity for the children after long, hot days of touring. Some hotel swimming pools require bathing caps. You can bring one or purchase it there. |
An absolute necessity is rain gear -- whether a jacket and pants, a poncho or an umbrella. A white umbrella can also be used to reflect the hot sun. |
Pack toiletries and anything liquid in at least two plastic bags. Zip-lock bags work well. |
Plan to use hotel laundry services to help you pack light! You may want to bring a small container of detergent for washing clothing in your room |
A wonderful experience
for both of us!
